Thirsty Crow – Moral Story
Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, there lived a clever crow named Corey. Corey had glossy black feathers and bright, curious eyes. One sunny morning, as he was flying high in the sky, he felt something unusual – a terrible thirst.
Storyteller: “Corey was as thirsty as can be, and he needed water right away!”
Crow (Corey): “Oh, I’m so thirsty. I need to find water.”
Corey began to search for water, flying from tree to tree, but there was no sign of a stream or a pond.
Storyteller: “But there, in the distance, Corey spotted something shiny!”
Crow (Corey): “What’s that over there? It looks like a pitcher.”
Corey flew over to investigate and found a big, round pitcher sitting in a field. It was filled with cool, clear water. Corey’s heart leaped with joy, but there was a problem.
Storyteller: “The pitcher was so tall, and Corey’s beak was too short to reach the water.”
Crow (Corey): “Oh no, how am I going to drink from this tall pitcher?”
But Corey was a clever crow, and he wouldn’t give up so easily.
Storyteller: “Corey thought and thought, and then he had a brilliant idea!”
Crow (Corey): “I know! I’ll use pebbles to raise the water level.”
Corey flew off to find some small pebbles. He picked them up one by one and carried them carefully in his beak.
Storyteller: “He returned to the pitcher and started dropping pebbles in.”
Crow (Corey): “One pebble at a time, the water level is rising.”
Corey kept going, dropping pebble after pebble, until, finally, the water reached the top of the pitcher.
Storyteller: “Corey was so happy! He could finally have a drink.”
Crow (Corey): “I did it! I can quench my thirst now.”
Corey dipped his beak into the water and took long sips. It was the most refreshing drink he’d ever had. He was no longer thirsty, and he felt so proud of himself for being so clever.
Storyteller: “But Corey’s adventure didn’t end there.”
Crow (Corey): “Look, some other animals are coming over.”
Some of the forest animals who had been watching Corey came over. They, too, were thirsty and had seen how Corey had solved his problem.
Storyteller: “Corey was kind and shared his secret with them.”
Crow (Corey): “Here’s how I did it, friends. You can use pebbles too!”
The animals used Corey’s idea, and soon they were all drinking water from the pitcher together. They were happy and grateful to Corey for helping them quench their thirst.
Storyteller: “And so, Corey the clever crow not only satisfied his own thirst but also became a hero in the forest.”
Crow (Corey): “Remember, my friends, with a little bit of clever thinking, you can solve any problem.”
Storyteller: “And that’s the end of the Thirsty Crow’s Adventure!”
Crow (Corey): “Caw-caw! Thank you for listening!”
